Baltimore, MD – March 13, 2006 – Codign Software, LLC today announced that it has joined the Eclipse Foundation, a not-for-profit industry organization committed to developing and promoting the Eclipse universal development platform. Codign’s flagship product, CoView for Java, is an Eclipse plug-in and advanced unit testing tool that empowers Java developers to bring consistency and speed to their testing efforts.

“Our products are designed for enterprises and developers working in Eclipse, and interaction with the growing Eclipse community is essential to bringing valuable developer tools to market. The Eclipse Foundation enables us to better understand the challenges developers face so we can continue to provide meaningful solutions to them. We are proud to be a part of such a vibrant group,” said John Miller, Co-Founder and CTO of Codign.

“The development of commercial Eclipse plug-ins are essential to the growth of the Eclipse Ecosystem, and we are pleased to welcome Codign Software into the Foundation,” said Mike Milinkovich, Executive Director of the Eclipse Foundation. “Our goal is to foster a community that brings Eclipse to a wide range of users. Making users’ projects run more efficiently is key, so Codign can help us reach our goal.”

Codign’s product, CoView, automatically creates unit tests using the JUnit framework.  CoView creates unit tests based on parameter and basis path analysis of the source code; the unit tests are geared towards maximizing coverage with a minimal set of tests.

Codign will be joining as an Add-In provider. Other members include Macromedia, Genuitec, BEA, IBM, Mercury, SAS and Discovery Machine.
